The Vision

Our vision is to transform this derelict former industrial estate into a vibrant canalside neighbourhood, opening up previously closed off sections of the Grand Union Canal and River Brent for the benefit of the whole community. Informed by public consultation, a concept developed around the creation of a series of distinct landscaped spaces flowing through the site. A new Canalside Piazza will offer a vibrant space animated with shops, cafés, restaurants and new community facilities. A Green Avenue will link to landscaped Central Gardens and informal Riverside Meadows. Along the northern edge of the site, a new pedestrian/cyclist route, enhanced landscaping and new lighting will transform Beresford Avenue and the route to Stonebridge Park, providing a clean, safe environment for walking and cycling.
